Starix has stepped down as Na’Vi’s coach, and will be replaced by Andrey “Andi” Prokhorov, who was previously the team’s analyst. It has been clear that Na’Vi have needed a roster change after winning only one event in the past year, ESL One New York. However, instead of choosing to change their roster of players, it seems Na’Vi are keen to change other elements of the team set up, with Andi hopefully bringing a new lease of life to the team with his coaching style.

Na’Vi’s most recent tournament, IEM Katowice, saw them get knocked out in the quarter finals by Astralis, the current Major champions who also went on to win this particular event. Although on paper Na’Vi have some great players, such as S1mple who moved to the team in August 2016, they have really struggled to keep a consistent form. Getting knocked out of the ELEAGUE Atlanta 2017 Major in the quarter finals was not something that many fans anticipated, as they were highlighted as favourites, losing to the eventual champions Astralis. Guardian, the teams primary AWPer, has also struggled to regain his previously consistent form since suffering from a wrist injury in early 2016.
